Welcome to Glopos!
You’ve just received an email with the link to setup your password to finalize your user account as a Solution Administrator. Once the password is set, log on into the Glopos portal.
Before you start configuring your solution look at the Glopos concept to understand the wording and organization.
Engine is a corrections source accessible as a NTRIP Caster. Example of an engine is reference station providing corrections as NTRIP caster, or a VRS engine.
Please see How to create an engine
One reference station can generate multiple corrections streams. Reference station provides position which is used to visualize the station on the map and to select the nearest station for Nearest service.
Please see How to create a reference station
Currently Glopos supports NTRIP Caster and NTRIP Server type of connection.
Please see How to create a corrections stream
Streams can be labeled. The labels are used for user convenience, but more importantly to identify streams to be used in the Nearest service.
Please see How to create a stream label
A service is defining how corrections streams or external engines are mapped and provided to the end users. Service is built using one of the service agents, defining which corrections sources and streams are used and in what mode. Service is an analogy to the NTRIP mountpoint. Available service agents:
Please see How to setup Services
Service can be geofenced using a Service zone. Devices outside of the service zone are not able to consume corrections.
Please see How to setup a zone and How to apply multiple zones
Internal devices is a special type of device. It can be assigned directly a service, without a need to create plan and assigning it a subscription. There is no limit in corrections consumption for the internal devices.
Create a device directly under solution.
Please see How to create internal device
Assign to the internal device a service you want to test. Use the NTRIP connection information provided on the device detail page to connect the device and start a session.
See live and ended sessions to examine the trajectory, see the session termination reason, or check the fixed state.
Please see How to view device sessions
Plans define way to monetize solution services. You can sell plans to solution's direct clients, or to authorize resellers to sell plans to its hierarchy of clients and resellers.
There are two types of plans:
Each plan has its availability defining who can create new plan instance.
Please see How to create flat subscription plans, How to create credit services, and How to create credit packages.
A reseller is a solution representative selling plans. You must authorize each plan you want the reseller to be allowed to sell.
Please see How to create a reseller
For each reseller you can set a global discount which is applied on the plan's pricing. It can be seen as reseller's margin. Please see How to set discounts.
List of plans the reseller is authorized to sell are shown in the resellers plan tab. Please see How to view available plans.
This can be done in two ways
Newly authorized Plans have availability set to not for sale. Once the reseller sets the price, they can be marked as public or private so that it can be available for purchase by clients.
Please see how to authorize a reseller
This can be done in two ways
Ongoing subscriptions are not affected by unauthorizing. Unauthorizing means the reseller is no longer able to create (sell) new plans instances.
Please see how to unauthorize a reseller
Resellers can create and manage own hierarchy of clients with devices in the same way as solution. Resellers' clients can be assigned only those plans, which the reseller is authorized to sell.
Clients are customers with devices. A client is typically a company. Client can be authorized or unauthorized, defining the level of autonomy when purchasing subscriptions.
Please see How to create clients. Please see Subscription lifecycle to better understand the relationships between subscription states.
Devices (rovers) are consumers of the corrections. Client devices must have a valid plan to be allowed to consume corrections.
Please see How to create device
You can create assign any of the Subscription plan with availability public or private. Select a start date. You can create multiple subsequent instances of the subscription plan, or an auto renew subscription. If the subscription plan is linked with multiple services, select the service which should be provided to the device. Users can change to other service anytime later via the Glopos portal. This is analogy to changing Mountpoint.
Device can be assigned a credit service. Assuming the client has positive credit balance, the device can start consuming corrections.
Device can have assigned subscription and credit service simultaneously. In this scenario, if a subscription is valid, it has higher priority over credit service (i.e. the device will consume subscription rather than credit service).
Client can have multiple administrators, who after login to the Glopos portal get limited view allowing them to manage their fleet of devices and subscriptions.
Client administrators can
authorized clients) or plan (unauthorized clients) subscriptions and credit packagesSubscriptions are owned by client. Subscription can be assigned to a device or it can be unassigned. Subscription must be assigned to a device to enable corrections consumption.
Unassigned subscriptions are stored in the client's inventory. Users can freely move the subscriptions between devices and the inventory.
There is a Plans view listing all client's purchased subscriptions including those which are not assigned to any device.
You can create (sell) multiple identical subscriptions with selected start date which will be inserted into Client’s inventory as Unassigned. Subscriptions will be immediately granted and listed in a Client reports as sold to client.
Subscription must be assigned to a device in order to consume services. Assignment to the device can be done by you or client administrator.
It is possible to unassign a subscription from a device. Unassigned subscription goes to the Inventory. From there it can be assigned to any Device again.
Use this view to see Plans the Clients have purchased (set to granted) in the selected time range. This view also allows you to see the sold plans, total income in a table view or chart diagram.
Please see How to view client reports
Subsolution is a branded solution with own Services and Plans. It si available only in the PRO version.
